What the Creality Falcon CR can make

The Creality Falcon CR is a diode laser engraver: its blue laser engraves and cuts wood, plywood, leather, paper, cardboard, fabric and dark or opaque acrylic, and marks coated or painted metal. It cannot cut clear or blue acrylic, which lets blue light through, and bare metal needs far more power or a different laser.

It has a rated laser power of 5 W – 10 W depending on the model, a work area of 400 × 415 mm (15.7 × 16.3 in) and a top engraving speed of 167 mm/s.

Diode laser power is stated in different ways across brands: some quote the laser's optical output, others the power the module draws, which is several times higher. Compare models on their optical output.

The brand states that it cuts up to 6 mm of wood or plywood; thicker material takes several passes, and results depend on the material and air assist.

It works with support for a rotary attachment to engrave tumblers and other round objects, air assist for cleaner cuts and LightBurn and LaserGRBL software.
